Each year car lots are filled with new models that grab our attention. Of course, some cars are more interesting than others. While some may have us considering our finances to see if the numbers work, others are easy to pass by. While 2012 is no different, there are some brands that will succeed over the others. Let’s take a closer look at which cars will excel in 2012.
Ford
Popular Mechanics recently done an article on the “12 New Cars That Are Worth Paying For” and three of those cars were from Ford. The first on the list was the latest Focus. The 2013 Focus ST will feature a good amount of horsepower and was built with speed in mind. Another Ford model to make the list was the Fiesta. The Fiesta will be similar to the Focus ST in that it will be hatchback, but Ford hopes to differentiate the two by making the Focus a more upscale car and the Fiesta more sporty. Last, but not least, the list also featured the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500. However, with lots of power to spare, and plenty of upgrades, the Shelby could cost as much as $70,000.
Chevy
Another American brand destined to do well in 2012 is the Chevy. The Chevy Camaro ZL1 is not only packed with power that will let drivers hit 60 in only 4 seconds, but has more safety features thanks to the addition of the anti-roll bars. While not as many Chevy’s made the list, this is still a brand that will continue to excel in 2012.
Volkswagen
Last, but not least, Volkswagen will also excel in 2012 due to their focus on safety. Chances are you’ve seen the commercials boasting the safety features of the Volkswagen, but have you heard about the 2013 Volkswagen Golf R? The Golf R is another sporty car to hit the market that has safety in mind. With a 280HP motor, the Golf R will be available in both 2 and 4-door models. Best of all, the fuel economy is said to be 20% better in this model than the previous model.
Of course, these are just a few brands that will excel. However, with features like those listed in these three brands it’s plain to see that these brands will be huge for 2012. Best of all though, many of these cars are priced so that most can afford them, even the Chevy Camaro.
