When you activate Windows 7, you may receive strange error 0xC004F061. This error indicates that you have a Windows 7 upgrade license and not a license to install completely; In other words the previous version of Windows is not found on your hard disk. Also, you may receive an error message indicating that you have entered an invalid Windows product key. Try these solutions
Windows Error Recovery
Make sure you enter the correct license key: find the license key sticker on your computer or inside the installation package. Windows license keys are generally printed on the COA sticker.
Make sure that the product key of Windows 7, try to activate. For example, a base for the license key of Windows 7, you can activate Windows 7 not product first.
Make sure you have a licensed installation, if you do not have the product installed on your previous Windows hard drive (see steps 4-6).
Buy or otherwise obtain a valid key and install DVD to complete the installation of Windows 7.
Install your previous Windows Vista or XP, the upgrade using the Windows 7 Upgrade DVD.
If you still receive an error message about invalid product key, you can leave the field blank and click “continue”. Then you can finish the game, however, you only 30 days to activate Windows. You can find the license key online
